Coping with death is a painful and sometimes confusing process. The grief can be debilitating and make you lose track of time or any other sense of reality. It’s hard to imagine a life without that one special person (or animal). Sometimes people in our lives create trauma, and you may be glad they’re gone. Whatever the case may be, death is a simple fact of life that creates complicated responses from us. There is no right or wrong way to feel, but a better understanding of the experience can provide us with peace.
What is Death?
Death is the, “permanent cessation of all vital functions of the lungs, brain, and heart.” Merriam Webster. The physical organism ceases to function and the body deteriorates.
But happens to the consciousness that inhabited the body?

Tarot cards have the Death card, which has a more symbolic meaning rather than literal. The Death card represents total transformation. When it’s drawn, it means that there is an ending of some kind, but will be followed by a new beginning. This card is not meant to be feared. The death of a job or a relationship may be what’s needed for something better to be reborn. Letting go and moving on is what’s being asked of you when this card is picked.
There are many beliefs surrounding the idea of death and the afterlife. Religious groups have had most of the power when it comes to reinforcing some of these beliefs. However, there is a growing number of people that are awakening on a spiritual level. Near-death experiencers share the same story of going to the light. Psychic mediums can accurately convey messages from departed loved ones.
I don’t resonate with the idea of being told what to believe in, and I wasn’t a good churchgoer because of it. Although I had always wanted to believe in the supernatural when I was young, I never had proof of its existence. If I couldn’t experience it myself, then I had no reason to believe it was real. I was a skeptic. Even to this day, I still find myself being skeptical of my own experiences. But this is what keeps me honest. If I’m going to express what I believe to be the truth, then it will always be from personal experience. Through astral projection and speaking to my father after he died, here is what I’ve learned:
Death is not the end, its a transformation
When we die, our body stops functioning, but our consciousness continues to exist. This consciousness, (i.e., soul), is our core essence. The soul reincarnates into different physical forms to gain more experience. The soul continues the reincarnation process until it has gained as much wisdom that it can. Has anyone ever called you an “old soul?” It’s possible that your soul maybe thousands of years old because of reincarnation. If that soul emits negativity into the world, it will most likely need to return to learn that lesson and correct it. This is how karma works. This can only happen after a soul has crossed over and is back with Source Frequency, or God. Heaven denies no one, but that soul must choose to go.
Some souls who do not cross over may choose to stay on the Earthly plane. Some will choose this because they have unfinished business, and some choose this out of fear. Many believe that they will not be able to see their loved ones after they pass through the light, but this isn’t true. Returning to the light helps us shed the ego parts of our human existence such as anger and fear. This then brings us back to a state of unconditional love, and we return to Source Frequency. We then can come back to visit our loved ones and be positive influences in their lives.
There's no such thing as hell
Hell isn’t real. The closest thing that may resemble hell would be the negative state of being that a soul can get stuck in. A soul can choose to hold onto their negative emotions and not cross over into the light. They may even choose to go deeper into their negative emotions and grow darker. Growing darker pulls them away from unity consciousness and more into separation consciousness. This may be the furthest point away from Source Frequency, and thus is the closest thing to hell. But again, Heaven denies no one.
It's an opportunity to make things right
It’s far too easy to develop regrets after someone dies. There will always be a chance that you could have called them more often or could have been more available to them. But, there is no way of learning these lessons until it happens. It’s a powerful experience to learn from and it creates a lasting impact. Don’t dwell on what could you could have done differently. Instead, implement those changes into your relationships now. Connect with people more often and don’t hold back in expressing your love for them. Our departed loved ones don’t want their deaths to be in vain. They want it to fuel positive change for those that are still living.
If you didn’t end things well with your loved one, then you can rectify the situation by speaking to them now. I can guarantee you that if you use your imagination and ask for them to be with you, then they will be. Humans have limited sensory perception and can’t always sense when a spirit is around them. But I have yet to encounter a spirit that didn’t hear the message that the living was trying to send them. They’re listening, so speak from your heart.
Treat the ending of a life with the same energy as the beginning of life
When a baby is born, we shower them with gifts and well wishes for a pleasant life. We make sure that the baby has everything they need and we give them plenty of playful interactions. It’s an exciting time that’s full of love. It would be beneficial for everyone to treat death with similar energy but in a respectful way. Our loved ones are moving on to the next phase of their existence. They are being reborn in a sense, so why not send them well wishes? This will ensure that they make it to their intended destination with love in their hearts. Tell them how loved and missed they are every day. Have high-vibing conversations about them and tell fun stories to “lift their spirits”.
Have compassion and patience
Death is often worse for the living than it is for the dead. Grief is a powerful emotion that can cloud your judgment and ability to see the bigger picture. There are going to be people who can’t process their sadness and it will be important to lend support in any way you can. Grief is different for everyone and holding space is a powerful gift to give someone. You must also have compassion for yourself. Unpredictable emotions are going to arise, and that’s okay. Healthily expressing them will help channel that energy out of your body. Healing is not linear, it’s a roller coaster. There are going to be good days and bad days, but always remember that “this too shall pass..”.
Use it to practice your spiritual gifts
Have you ever wondered if you have psychic abilities? Well, this is a good opportunity to find out! Death is a powerful way to induce a spiritual awakening. Your loved one is listening and wants to give you a message. If you’re not used to speaking to spirits, then it’ll take some practice on your end. If you’ve never attempted this before, then there are 2 rules to follow:
- Set an intention to have your spiritual practices be that of the highest good for all involved.
- Ask for protection from Source Frequency.
Many people fear that trying to connect with spirits will invite dark energies, but this isn’t true. Setting the intention to connect with your loved one for the highest good will ensure this. Not only will this raise your vibration, but it renders dark energies powerless. Anyone that claims protection by Source Frequency has nothing to worry about.
Activity: Sit and quiet your mind. Imagine the white light of Source Frequency surrounding you. Recall a happy memory that you and your loved one shared and allow yourself to feel those emotions in your body. When you’ve done this for a few minutes, ask them to give you a sign. You can be open to any sign or ask for something specific. In the next week or so, start to pay attention to subtle signs that your loved one is sending you. Try not to have any expectations of how the message should look because you will miss other signs. Have an open mind and stay playful during the process. Don’t get discouraged if you feel like they aren’t connecting with you. Just try to stay open and optimistic so that your vibration stays high. Whenever I need some support from my father, he’ll send me an eagle. This eagle can come in any form, like a stuffed animal in the store window or on a mural on a building wall. It’s become a fun game that I play when I’m missing him.

Conclusion
Death doesn’t happen by accident. Like most things in this world, it is divinely orchestrated and perfect. What isn’t perfect is our perception of it, and that’s okay. We have the choice to shift our perspective so that we are not at the mercy of the circumstances. We can empower ourselves to make the event beautiful for us and for those that are moving on. We also have the power to send them back home, and in some cases, they are depending on us to do so. They want us to learn from their death and to make the most of our lives while we can. We have some work to do here on Earth, and we are gaining more guardians on the other side to help us with it.
Happy connecting!
